About the people who have played a role in Omaopio Ridge
Phil ChristopherProject Coordinator and RealtorPhil Christopher, principal broker of Phil Christopher Realty, is the Project Coordinator/Realtor for Oma'opio Ridge. A Maui resident for thirty years, Phil was formerly a mechanical engineer in the aerospace industry and a building subcontractor. He has played a major role in all aspects of Oma'opio Ridge, from acquisition of the land in 1996 to its current operation. Phil guided the subdivision process from 1997 through to final approval of Phase I in 2001, and he coordinated the engineering and construction of the road, utilities, and the water system. Currently he directs the ongoing maintenance of the infrastructure and coordinates the work of various service contractors. Also, he has been the liaison between the developers and government agencies at the state and county levels to gain Maui County bonded approval for Phase II of the project, which was granted on November 1, 2007. (Final approval was granted in August, 2009.) He and his wife have built a home in Oma'opio Ridge and have become full-time residents there. Phil Christopher Realty is the exclusive agent of the developers in the marketing and sales of all homes and lots in Oma'opio Ridge. (From time to time, lots and homes in Omaopio Ridge may come up for re-sale; Phil is not necessarily the broker for those.)
